Shell Information
The ROTSE User Shell (rush) is a fully functional shell environment, and
can run executables, shell scripts, perform file manipulation, etc. In
addition, there are many ROTSE-specific built-in functions that are described in
this chapter. Built-in functions can be used from any directory, and from any
shell script.
For each command that operates hardware, after the command is issued control is
returned to the shell. Execution of the command may take some time. Monitoring
the status with rstat reveals when
the command has finished. If you issue a command with the -w wait option,
the shell will block until the command has finished.
